nly furniture and/or goods appearing on the inventory, however acquired, have been quoted. For any extra items, the quote may be adjusted, and will only be transported if there is space available on the trailer.
The basis of this agreement is that furniture and / or goods are transported solely at the consignor’s risk, and that Wegtrek will not be responsible in any way for damage and / or loss of any kind however incurred that the consignor may incur.
All items that are packed/wrapped by the insured (eg bubblewrap, boxes etc.) and may be damaged will be at the sender’s expense.
WEGTREK HAS A GOODS IN TRANSIT COVERAGE OF UP TO R200 000. THE SENDER IS ALSO RESPONSIBLE FOR ARRANGING THEIR OWN INSURANCE ON THE REMOVAL DATE. EXCESS WILL BE ON THE SENDER’S ACCOUNT.
Wegtrek has a right of lien on the furniture and / or goods, even if they have already been unloaded (without prejudice to rights) until such time as the sender’s account in relation to this agreement is settled in full in cash/eft.
No claim or claims may or shall be the cause for the delay and / or refusal of any amount or amounts due and payable by sender to Wegtrek under this agreement.
If the Sender wants to cancel this agreement for any reason more than ten days before the loading date 50% of the amount mentioned in this agreement will be payable. If the Sender wants to cancel this agreement will be payable before Wegtrek will consider such cancellation. If the sender wants to cancel the agreement less than 10 days before the loading date 100% of the amount mentioned in this agreement will be payable before Wegtrek will consider such cancellation.
The Sender must ensure everything on the inventory is loaded, and after off-loading nothing was left behind.
Any change or withdrawal to this agreement or to the general conditions will be invalid unless duly signed by Wegtrek as well as the sender.
Sender must ensure that all cupboards, cabinets and drawers are empty. If it is not empty, Wegtrek will pack it in cartons @ R95-00 per carton, and the amount will be added to the quotation price and counted as the total amount due.
Where furniture is too large, it is the consignor’s responsibility to disassemble furniture or remove doors as well as reassembling it and replacing doors.
Fridges and freezers must be defrosted and dry.
If the sender does not comply with 13, 14 and 15 above, said articles will not be transported by Wegtrek.
A maximum of ten potted plants, manageable by one person will be transported. If there is space on the vehicle, more plants will be transported with management’s permission as a favor and at extra cost.
If the agreement is completed and emailed back, it will be considered a valid contract between the sender and Wegtrek, whether or not it is signed.
Valuable items such as laptops and mobile phones must be specified by e-mail to Wegtrek Meubelvervoer if they are to be transported. We recommend that the sender transport these items personally due to their high risk. If these items are transported without specification and get lost, Wegtrek Meubelvervoer will not be held responsible.
Sign the Inventory list with uploading as well as downloading. The sender hereby acknowledges that EVERYTHING has been uploaded and EVERYTHING has been offloaded.
Valuable items such as laptops, jewelery and mobile phones must be specified by email to Wegtrek Meubelvervoer if they are to be transported. We recommend that the sender transport these items personally due to their high risk. If these items are transported without specification and get lost, Wegtrek Meubelvervoer will not be held responsible.
